Bull’s eye. I spontaneously visited a concert of Céline Rudolph. Not the worst decision I did today. If you are, like me, a fan of scat singing and Flora Purim, you’ll like Céline as well.
I was impressed by the virtuousity of the musicians who all played acoustic instruments. The solos of the accordeonist, Toninho Ferragutti, have been incredible, especially in »Metamorphores«. The guitarist, Diego Figueiredo, played an instrument with an marvellous nylon sound. The bass player, Rodolfo Stroeter, and the drummer, Ricardo Mosca, held the band together – the usually unrecognized background job requiring lots of discipline.
One decade back I made the decision to make my living being a technician instead of a musician. There are occasions where I wonder if I was right. Thanks, guys and celine, for the concert :) .
