Indoor Climbing Wall, (c) by Marco Jeschke

I’m a big fan of outdoor activities, and thus my physical training much depends on the weather conditions. Especially during the cold and dark winter months, I’m usually leaving the office 90 minutes after twilight, and biking is not much fun even at weekends.

Cubase MIDI Device Files released

Monday, January 10th, 2011

For my personal use, I created some Cubase MIDI Device Files (see the products section of this blog). Currently there are files for the following instruments:

  • Alesis micron
  • Access Virus C
  • Korg Z1

I’ve also added step by step installation instructions for (hopefully) painless usage. I hope it’s useful for musicians ’round the globe.

Snowy Xmas break

Tuesday, January 4th, 2011

Aeolus did all friends of white Xmas a favour and brought fresh snow right at christmas eve. Many streets (except for motorways) have not been salted by the winter service and are still covered by snow and ice, so the trips to visit family members and friends have been demanding.

Thanks to the early snow, the black forest had open during the holidays and allowed for all kinds of winter sport activities.

According to the forecast, the snow will probably melt the upcoming weekend, at least in the lower regions. I’m curious what weather conditions the rest of this winter will bring.
