RoutinoFrontend

Routino Frontend is a simple GUI for Routino, a command line routing application written by Andrew M. Bishop. Routino is capable of creating a route in GPX format based on collaboratively collected data of openstreetmap.org. After creating the route, it can be loaded and visualized using Mappero or Maep.

As I haven’t created a package for easy installation yet, here are the files and instructions necessary to get it running on your N900.

After extracting the archive, move (or copy) the files to the following locations:

  • Move the folder routino-1.4 to /opt/
  • Move routino-frontend to /usr/local/bin/
  • Move routino-frontend.desktop to /usr/share/applications/hildon/
  • Move routino-frontend.png to /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon/
  • Download and unpack one of the preprocessed maps and move the three files in the resulting folder to /home/user/MyDocs/.maps/Routino/:
